Make and Do Everything
Began in 2018 in Copenhagen as a response to a simple but powerful need: connection.
We wanted to create a welcoming place where people could learn new skills, make things with their hands, and feel part of a community—without language barriers or the pressure of fitting in.
We’re a non-profit, open-to-all community, with everything taught in English and led by community members, for the community.
What started as a small, niche gathering has grown into events across Europe and beyond, while still holding onto the same core values of openness, curiosity, and care.
By partnering with local cultural spaces and using craft psychology as a tool for connection, we bring people together one event at a time. Our focus isn’t just on making things—it’s on making friendships, building confidence, and creating spaces where meaningful, lasting connections can naturally grow.
We’re M.A.D.E
Make & do everything
Everything we do, touch, or engage with has been crafted by some thought process.
We believe that everyone has the skill set to do something truly unique because we are all just that.
That’s why we created M.A.D.E - It stands for make an do everything, because when we put our minds and souls into things, that’s exactly what can be achieved.
Especially when you’re backed by countless community members cheering you on and also leaning with you. And that’s what we provide within our creative community.
Over the last 7+ years, we’ve hosted more than 100+ workshops across the globe at small independent spaces for top institutions and agencies.
We’ve blended our creativity and science to deliver what we think are some pretty amazing courses.
So you’re probably wondering?
What makes us different?
We applied the latest research on neuroplasticity and behavior change to develop our M.A.D.E. classes, events, and workshops. Along with providing all tools and equipment needed, as well as refreshments, means that you’ll enjoy a fully rounded creative experience in which you’re brain can relax whilst you learn something in an easy-to-digest hands-on format.
A strong crafting exercise can literally rewire your brain.
After eight weeks of crafting with no prior experience, participants in a clinical study saw improvement in at least one cognitive area:
Fine-motor speed
Short-term and long-term memory
Attention
Verbal recall
Not to mention
Discovering potential new favorite hangout spots - as our workshops travel across Denmark and Europe.
All workshops are taught in English - for easy communication, as well as offering handouts in Danish if needed.
Meet new friends while learning new skills - It’s a great way to meet new potential friends and connect with like-minded people.
Opportunities to literally make and do everything creative - Our workshops are seasonal and forever changing, meaning there’s something for everyone!
Community-focused and non-profit organisation - We believe in people power, we run events focused on bringing people together over community and creativity, whilst giving back to important causes close to our organisation’s core. Doing something good for yourself helps doing good for others!
Pur·pose
A sense of purpose is an intention to make a meaningful impact in the world. Having a strong sense of purpose serves as a source of protection in the face of stress and challenge.
Crafting promotes purpose through creation, which is a form of self-expression. It encourages generosity in the form of gift-giving.
Con·nec·tion
Social connection is more important than ever, especially after long stretches of COVID-related isolation and solitude. The social part of M.A.D.E’s Workshops inherently fosters connection. We foster relationships among attendees during the event and encourage them to connect afterwards. Crafting can be a literal way to make new friends.
Con·trol
A sense of control in life, a learned, generalized belief that one can and does master and shape one’s own life, is protective against depression and anxiety, especially in times of stress and change. People with a high sense of control weather challenges better than those who feel powerless. Crafting exercise can help develop a sense of control by creating unique and personal pieces and finishing with an actual physical result.
